It features a high-quality, fine-grain wood with a thick, glossy finish and ornate decorative purfling on the belly, back and edges of the instrument. The fingerboard and tailpiece will either have an ebony veneer, a burled maple veneer, or an ebony veneer with a maple border. Pegs are also of ebony.
